The failure to block Mukasey's nomination in the committee is a travesty and yet another stunning inditement of the democratic party that reflects the lack of leadership within the party. Clearly this man is unfit for the job of Attorney General since he is unwilling to even state that the law that expressly prohibits waterboarding exists, though he knows very well that it does.

Confirmation of yet another presidential lapdog would be an endorsement of torture by the US government. Lets hope that doesn't happen. I would like to know what Harry Reed intends to do about this since I haven't heard him state any position on the matter.
