Scott McClennan announces that the president, vice president,Karl Rove, and Scooter Libby were all involved in the outing of Valarie Plame.
What else do the democrats need? I'm not hearing much of anything from Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, or any others.
Why aren't we issuing a subpoena to McClennan and having him testify under oath about what he knows?
If Bush is not impeached, i'm sure Mr. Libby will be pardoned silencing him forever.
Are the Democrats going to continue keeping their heads in the sand and hope it all goes away? What a sad state of affairs for America.
From the Politico:

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) will bring the Senate in for a series of pro forma sessions over the next two weeks in order to avoid recess appointments by President Bush.

The Senate will convene every couple of days - Nov. 20, Nov. 23, Nov. 27, Nov. 29 - in order to prevent Bush from taking advantage of its absence to place individuals in positions requiring Senate confirmation.
I have lost all faith in the democratic party, as leaders of the Demoratic party, yours and Nancy Pelosi's lack of support of the Dennis Kucinich resolution to impeach Dick Cheney is intolerable.
How can you ignore the majority of Americans who demand for righting the wrongs of the criminals in the White House.
This republican administration has committed the greatest theft of the American people's treasure, and opportunities in so many ways.
You vowed to defend the Constitution and it's obvious you are ignoring that vow.
I was an avid supporter of the democratic party, but since the spineless members continue to NOT represent the majority of Americans, you've lost me and any more support.
The democrats didn't get the majority to sit on their collective thumbs as you seem to be doing.
It seems to me you're just republicans with blue ties.
You are snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
It's more than just the U.S. that is affected by your lack of support, the world depends on what you're doing.
Please remind yourself of all the terrible things the Bush administration has done to us all, go to this link.

You can fix this, just get your nerve back.

It's not just about us, it's for our children most of all.

Waterboarding is torture.

Because Michael Mukasey cannot admit to this basic fact, I will vote against his nomination.

I respect Michael Mukasey and believe he is an intelligent and capable man. However, given our recent history, it is important that our next attorney general be able to stand up to the President and for the rule of law. I am not confident that Michael Mukasey will.

Send the message:

If he can't say no to torture - we say no to Mukasey.

While Michael Mukasey refuses to answer the question of whether waterboarding is torture, the precedent is clear. In 1947, Yukio Asano, a Japanese officer, was sentenced to 15 years of hard labor for performing a form of waterboarding on an American citizen.

In 2004, Daniel Levin, who was then acting assistant attorney general, volunteered to be waterboarded. Later, he told the White House "even though he knew he wouldn't die, he found the experience terrifying and thought that it clearly simulated drowning."

If Michael Mukasey cannot answer the simple question of whether or not waterboarding is torture, he should not serve as attorney general.

Our message needs to be loud and clear:

If he can't say no to torture - we say no to Mukasey.
The failure to block Mukasey's nomination in the committee is a travesty and yet another stunning inditement of the democratic party that reflects the lack of leadership within the party. Clearly this man is unfit for the job of Attorney General since he is unwilling to even state that the law that expressly prohibits waterboarding exists, though he knows very well that it does.

Confirmation of yet another presidential lapdog would be an endorsement of torture by the US government. Lets hope that doesn't happen. I would like to know what Harry Reed intends to do about this since I haven't heard him state any position on the matter.
Dear Senator Feinstein,

I was distressed to learn of your statement, last Thursday, that you were going to support the nomination of Mr. Mukasey as Attorney General of the United States.

I was distressed because when I called your office that morning, one of your aides told me that you believed waterboarding was (a) torture and (b) illegal. I was somewhat reassured by your beliefs--at least until I heard that, in spite of them, you were going to support Mr. Mukasey's nomination.

I would like to respectfully request that you reconsider your support for Mr. Mukasey. Otherwise, I hope you will refrain to ask for my support for your candidacy in the future. I would consider it an insult that a supporter of torture would think that I would support her.

In the hope that you will reconsider your support of Mr. Mukasey,

From Yahoo news, AP wire story. ANKARA, Turkey - Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice says the United States, Turkey and Iraq will counter any attacks on Turkey by Kurdish rebels operating out of northern Iraq.

Many Turks are furious with the United States for its perceived failure to pressure Iraq into cracking down on the PKK rebels, whose full name is the Kurdistan Workers' Party.
Street protesters have urged the government to send forces across the border even if it means a deepening of the rift with the U.S., their Cold War ally.
The United States acknowledged this week that it has undertaken limited military moves against the rebels after asserting for weeks that the clash between Iraq and Turkey was a diplomatic matter.
Pentagon officials said the U.S. was flying manned spy planes over the border area, providing Turkey with more intelligence information, and that there are standing orders for American forces to capture rebels they find.   Read More »
